trubbo reads a question, you say the answer. even the driver plays, nobody's buried in a screen, and every question is written fresh, so you never hear the same one twice.
tap a topic, trubbo asks
written live, never repeated
a normal trivia app ships with a fixed pile of questions. play a few evenings and you've met them all. trubbo writes each one on the spot, so the pile never runs out and you don't get the same question twice. you'll pick up something odd and true most rounds, and it never feels like homework.
where it fits
no screen to glance at, no cards to hold. the driver answers out loud like everyone else and the miles start to move.
from the kids in the back to the grandparents up front, everyone shouts answers. no fighting over whose turn it is to read.
call a category and let the room shout over each other. trubbo keeps score and keeps the questions coming.
the hours pass faster when you're busy proving each other wrong. pick a topic that's yours and settle it out loud.
how you play
sport, space, wizards, whatever the car is into. or set it gentle for the little ones and brutal for the know-it-alls.
say what you think. trubbo listens and tells you straight if you got it. no slam-dunks unless you asked for them.
the next question lands as fast as you can answer the last one, and it's a fresh one every time.
how it's built
trubbo is a real product in private testing, not a mockup. here's what's actually running underneath, and what we do with the little data that passes through.
your answer becomes text as you speak, streamed over a live connection so the round keeps pace with the table. the audio is never stored, it's dropped the second it's read.
the app and your account sit in an eu data centre. the few outside tools we lean on are bound by standard contractual clauses and only ever touch what they must.
trubbo hears what you say, not who you are. there's no voice fingerprint and nothing that could pick you out by the sound of you.
sign in with apple, so there's no password to forget or leak. all we hold is an email and an account id.
this very page loads no third-party scripts, sets no cookies, and reports to no one. fonts and all live on our own domain.
each question is generated on the spot by a large language model, never pulled from a fixed list, so the game follows wherever the table goes and never repeats itself.
trubbo is in private testing right now. leave your email and we'll tell you the day it opens up.
by adding your email you agree we can write to you about trubbo. one email the day it opens, the odd update, no spam, unsubscribe anytime. the waitlist is for adults. see our privacy policy.
